Just as we have some lovely shoes to show off to you all, the camera died. It has been one of those weeks this week! So we are here primed and full of lovely things, but can't actually show you any right this instant.
Designer shoes, some nice trinket boxes and a couple of handbags will be brought to you asap! (unless they sell in the meantime - Which we hope they do, but kinda hope they don't as we want to show them off to you!)
Until we can get normal services up and running again, we hope you have a fab weekend, and that it is not too damp!
Don't forget we are open Saturday and Sunday, ready for your donations and to make you part with some cash in retrun for some amazing items!

Potty for Pottery
Haven't done any bric a brac for a while, so today we have to show to you - some Dartmouth Pottery.
Dartmouth Pottery, situated in the south Devon town of Dartmouth, was established in 1947 and is still operating.
A lovely sea blue this pair of vases are £16.
On the bottom they are marked "98 DARTMOUTH POTTERY" and both still have their little gold stickers on.
We really like the funky square shape of these pair. Twisted squares.
They are an inch wide (2.5cm) and approx 12cm high.

For the country gent....
Every country gentleman needs a tweed or tweed look jacket, possibly with a pocket square/elbow patches. These few we have in stock to show you would be perfect. Plus as a bonus some are even designer!
All of these jackets are a size 44 (X Large) unless stated.
1. This is a wool check jacket from Aquascutum. Size 42. £45
2. This herringbone style in country green tones is Italian wool/cashmere mix with a silk lining. And it comes with a pocket square! Bonus. £45
3. This is another jacket from Aquascutum. Cashmere, with a polyester cream lining. £55
4. Finally we have this Cashmere/wool herringbone jacket by Caruso. £45
We suggest to team any of these jackets with jeans or cream chinos for a smart casual look.

Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino Mens Jackets
We love getting items from our regulars. It means we are doing something right when they come in to donate and end up buying things on their way out! Today a gift aided customer brought in many bags of men's clothing and there were these lovely Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Jackets, and a couple of Valentino double breasted Jackets.
(There was also some tweedy/country gent jackets, as we call them, so pop back tomorrow for those...)
Lets start with the YSL ones - All are hardly worn and have no issues with them at all. Even the linings are perfect!
1. This one is a size 40 chest.
Made from 100% Wool and lined with grey rayon, this is £50
2. This one is also a size 40 chest.
The buttons and the lining have the YSL logo on them. Nice.
And again this is £50
3. The third one is this green jacket of silk and wool mix.
Size 42 chest and £40. The lining is rayon and has a green/red tinge.
The sleeves are slightly shorter than the other jackets.
4. Finally this is slightly country gent, but feels absolutely lovely, and when we checked the label it is no surprise it is a wool and cashmere mix.
Size 42 chest. £60
Now we come to the Valentino Jackets.
These are both a size 46 chest.
1. A small catch on the back of the jacket (see photo)
Double breasted jacket with a fine white pinstripe.
£40
2. This is also pinstriped, but with a fine red stripe too.
Wool mix fabric and fully lined.

So pop on in and get suited up!

I'm in love with my Car (Books)
Vrooooooom! Vroooooooooooom!
(Any excuse for a quick ooogle of Roger Taylor...Lush...ahem, where was I? Ahh yes...)
Well as you can guess, this is motor related. Motorsport related to be a bit more precise. This pile of books is just teasing me as I love Grand Prix, (British GP Blog) fast cars, and this is what they are all about.
To start with we have books on recent years motorsport priced from £2 - £6 each.
These Antique Car Auction catalogs are full of amazing and beautiful (and expensive!) cars, and if anyone reading this can afford to buy a few, I will gladly take some off their hands ;)

Fancy building your own racing machine? Well we have book that can tell you How To.
Or how about reviews of the F2 year or F1 or Formula Renault...We have them too...£4 each.
And finally, some books, in French, talking about Le Man and Monte Carlo and these are £6 each.
Don't forget ony 2 months to go till F1 starts up again! Hurrah!

Sunday Date Outfit
So, this outfit is for a weekend dinner date. You want something classy, but not too conservative. Bright but not IN YOUR FACE BRIGHT COLOURS! And we think we have the perfect outfit here. Let us know what you think!
The dress is vintage, possibly late 1950s/early 1960s.
Cotton fabric, with this stunning print.
Under the skirt is some netting to give it added volume (and bounce, when you move) but over time there are some holes in the netting, but it doesn't detract from the dress and you can't see them unless you look reeeally hard.
No sizing in it, but our guess is an 8/10 (eur 36/38) as there is hardly any give in the bodice top.

The red jacket is by J.Crew
Sized as an M (12 (eur 40)), the big bold buttons add something to the jacket to make it more casual.

The belt is by OSKA
and is a size 2 (Med)

Finally, to contrast with the silver grey belt, and to compliment the yellows in the dress print we have added this gold metal pendent. £4.

Things and Stuff, Stuff and Things
Obviously you have got the memo that we sell whatever things people donate in to us, what with Brook Green being a Charity shop, an all.
After Christmas, there is always a small lull before the New year clear outs, and now we are running low on some stock, so here we are, cap in hand, with a biiiiiiiig smile asking for Ladies Tops and Men's Shirts.
These are our best sellers and so need to keep our rails topped up with fresh stock everyday, but recently the rails have been slightly more empty than we like!
Shirts, blouses, vest tops, t-shirts, jumpers, we will take them from you and make good use of them!
High Fashion. High Street. Doesn't matter.
If you have things buried in the back of your wardrobe which you no longer wear (or have never worn...we all do it...oops) or no longer like or no longer have room for, please, please, please think of us on Shepherds Bush Road, London and bring in your goodies during opening hours.
